Personalized imaging strategies can optimize diagnostic outcomes in patients with chronic diseases requiring specialty medications. This prospective study involved 120 patients with chronic renal, hepatic, or cardiovascular disorders who underwent imaging with pharmacist-directed consults. Pharmacists assessed medication history, potential interactions, and imaging modality selection. Results demonstrated a 30% improvement in diagnostic yield and a 20% reduction in unnecessary repeat imaging. The study supports the integration of clinical pharmacists into radiology consult teams to tailor imaging protocols according to patient-specific pharmacological profiles.
