The accurate dosing of radiopharmaceuticals is critical to ensure both diagnostic accuracy and patient safety in nuclear medicine. This study evaluates the impact of a pharmacist-led intervention on the dosing accuracy of radiopharmaceuticals in a tertiary care hospital. A prospective cohort of 200 patients undergoing PET/CT and SPECT imaging was assessed. Pharmacist interventions included individualized dose calculation, patient-specific safety checks, and protocol adherence reviews. Results indicated a significant reduction in dosing errors from 12% to 2% (p < 0.001) and improved patient throughput. The study underscores the importance of integrating specialty pharmacy expertise into radiology workflows to enhance patient safety and imaging quality.
